Dec 5, 2014 report for KSA2 – Saudi Arabian, English-language TV:
Intro: For decades scientists have known how to make panels that could transform sunlight directly into electricity. But the cost of these solar panels was prohibitively high compared to traditional electrical power produced from fossil fuels, and they were not widely used. However in the last five or six years the technology has improved and the price of solar panels has fallen sharply. Now home owners are beginning to install them on their roofs, even in regions with limited sunshine, like Europe and the United States. We have this report from Washington about how the phenomenon is growing there.
