Totally revamped, several key features of this charge controller are:

Use for either wind turbines or solar panels or connect to a wind/solar power hybrid or hydroelectric system.

User changeable settings allow you to set the charge controller dump level for your specific needs

High amp rating: 160 max intermittent amps diversion, 120 maximum amps solar**

12 or 24 volts, no modification is necessary, simply change the jumper

High contrast LED battery voltage meter with an on/off switch

Battery status LED – Several controllers do not tell you what’s going on – This one does

Push to test. Ever wonder if your controller AND load are working OK?

Steel enclosure, with two conduit openings

Box Dimensions: 5.1″ (W) x 8″ (H) x 2″ (D)

Large terminal blocks, soldered directly to the relay PCB, will accept up to #6 wire

Versions 4.0 and greater now have reverse polarity protection

Versions 4.2 and greater now have an extended diversion mode (EDM)

The enclosure is heavy gauge, solid steel, ready to mount. No plastic, no junk, simple and rugged, built specifically for this purpose.

Current handling capacities are based on the mode of the charge controller and battery system voltage.

Can handle 160 maximum amps total current flow wired in the diversion mode when used in a 12-volt battery system and 120 amps maximum in a 24-volt system, both at a 20% duty cycle. 100 Amps continuous (50 amps/relay) design amperage is recommended for both voltages.

Solar mode maximum current handling capability is 120 amps for a 12-volt system and 100 amps when used with a 24-volt system (50 amps/relay).

Maximum continuous solar charge wattage should never exceed 2800 watts, with a recommended maximum system design of 1200 watts for a160 Amp 3,600 Watt Diversion Charge Controller
High Contrast Volt Meter
Microprocessor controlled for stability and functionality
Fully wired, ready to go for both wind and solar
Works directly with 12 and 24 volt systems
