USB solar powered battery bank: self contained micro solar generator

Solar & Wind EBooks

A review and showing features of this self contained USB power micro-solar generator. This unit contains its own 5000miliamp battery that I think is roughly equal to one of the smaller power tool battery packs. It can be used to charge or run nearly all USB powered or charged electronic devices, but may also be “fast charged” using a larger external solar panel, grid power adapter or your computer (not included). I got this from BangGood

I had watched this video over a week ago & went to "BangGood"  & I did not see this model advertised.  So I went for a lessor brand via "Cellphonestore" & got a 2600Mah. model.
I'm still waiting for it, but it was $19.95 with free shipping.

I'll let you know what I think of it, later.
The Mah. rate is the battery that is in it, the true aspect is, what the solar cell can do.  Mine supposedly can charge at 800 Mah. per hour.

Have you looked at the costs to do a laptop?  I did!  Around $168.00 for a fold-up unit that doesn't have a battery to store the energy & if you look at the solar output, there isn't enough time in the day to charge the laptop.  That means you need to join it to a battery pack!

Thanks for your video,  It inspired me!

I have been having pretty good luck with setting this thing in a windowsill and then using it to recharge the phones without having to get under a table to plug and unplug the phone recharge cord.

the connector you called LG is actually a "micro-USB". Most mobile phones made after 2012, have the micro-USB connector for PC connectivity and charging. Apple is the only holdout with proprietary connectors. Tablets vary more.
    About using a usb hub.
    1. You can charge up any device or combination of devices with equal or less capacity than that of the total capacity of the solar battery bank (5 amps)
    2. Tablets have larger lipo batteries than phones, so your solar battery bank may only be able to get a partial charge from the charge from it. Not a problem as solar power is free 😀

i would not recommend using a hub with multiple high capacity devices, because you can cause the solar battery banks internal battery critically low, causing it to burst into flames. Multiple devices with equal or less combined total capacity will work fine, but slower.

Finally each port gives out 5 volts no matter what device you connect to the solar battery bank. Current draw might be unique though.
